Nancy’s desire to help students can be seen all throughout her career, beginning with helping kindergarten students at Chesnee Elementary and later as an Administrative Assistant at USC Spartanburg (now USC Upstate). She saw firsthand while working with students their great need to know Jesus. Her goal is to reflect the love of Christ to them and show them that true happiness comes only from God.

 

Her dreams for SMSC are big. She hopes to see a day when SMSC is offering Jesus to every student in every school in Spartanburg County. Moreover, she desires to see a youth revival start in the schools and spread throughout the world.

 

Helping others brings Nancy a great sense of satisfaction. She has served the local church in a wide variety of positions. You could have found her sitting on the organ bench or preparing communion. Her most enjoyable roles have been in serving in missions and fundraising. God has blessed her with the spiritual gift of discernment which is very valuable to our ministry.

 

Nancy and her husband, Sam, have been married for over 50. They have three children and four grandchildren. It is her great delight that each of them loves Jesus.
